YÖK FINAL DECISION

In accordance with Article 45 of Law No. 2547, regarding the admission of students from abroad, at the Higher Education General Assembly meeting dated 18.07.2022; 2022-2023 education and training

TRNC citizens who have enrolled in secondary education institutions in Turkey since 2010 and

Those who have Turkish citizenship (embassy schools, those who have left the MOBIS system/Blue Card holders)

by the Ministry of National Education and international private educational institutions of foreign nationals

(Except for foreign nationals brought to our country within the scope of the project carried out)

to higher education institutions only through the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS).

It was decided that they could enter.

At the Higher Education General Assembly meeting dated 21.11.2024; Those who have studied/graduated from secondary education institutions in our country and renounced their citizenship/Blue Card holders, and foreign TRNC citizens and Turkish Republic candidates until 2026,

-Quotas for students from abroad

They can apply to higher education institutions and get placed,

-TRNC citizens and those who have renounced their Turkish citizenship/Blue Card holders

Along with the quotas for students accepted from abroad, also with YKS

they can get into higher education institutions,

-The candidates in question must meet the quotas given to them for accepting students from abroad.

any grievances they may have until this date to use the application opportunity

-Taking into account that they will not be able to be placed in higher education institutions with their YKS results starting from 2026;

a) Candidates who have registered to secondary education institutions in Turkey as of the 2022-2023 academic year and who have graduated/will graduate from secondary education will be placed in higher education institutions in our country and the TRNC only through YKS as of 2026 (excluding embassy schools, international private education institutions included in the MOBIS system and foreign nationals brought to our country within the framework of the project carried out by the Ministry of National Education)

b) It has been deemed appropriate to evaluate candidates who registered and/or graduated from secondary education institutions in Turkey before the 2022-2023 academic year within the scope of article (a).
